Posted by Tamela Phillippe on Tuesday, June 18, 2024

On Monday, Kylie Rae announced on her Patreon account that she was no longer a professional wrestler and has decided to take a break from social media. In her post, she talks about meeting her obligations once she feels better but gives no further information on her decision to leave the industry.

Kylie Rae, who began her career on the indie circuit in 2016, signed with AEW in 2019, becoming part of the women's roster. She made her debut in Double or Nothing, in a match with Britt Baker, Awesome Kong, and Nyla Rose, which she lost. After All Out, Tony Khan announced that she had requested her release and that the split was "very amicable.”

She signed with Impact in March 2020. Although she was set to face Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockouts Championship at this year’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view, she failed to appear at the event. She also missed several tapings and Impact has yet to make a statement regarding her absence.

During her time at Impact, she appeared at Slammiversary on July 18, where she won a Gauntlet for the Gold match to become #1 contender to the Knockouts Championship. On the July 28 episode of Impact!, she teamed up with several wrestlers in the reality show Wrestle House, where she got into a feud with Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie, beating both in singles matches on the August 4 episode of Impact! and Night 1 of Emergence on August 18, respectively.

Born Brianna Rae Sparrey, Kylie Rae, 28, formerly worked as a stuntwoman in films like Divergent and the TV series Shameless. She is currently engaged to professional wrestler Isaias Velazquez. She made her professional wrestling debut on March 19, 2016, at Reality of Wrestling, defeating Ivory Robin to win the ROW Diamonds Championship. Two years later, she received a tryout with WWE. She also defeated Tessa Blanchard to win the Warrior Wrestling Women's Championship on September 12, 2020.
